Job Summary
EMT PRN position located in Sun City Center, FL. Responsibilities include examining and evaluating residents to determine necessary care, providing emergency care with appropriate techniques and equipment, documenting resident information, condition, and treatment, maintaining confidentiality, ensuring a safe and stocked care environment, and providing basic life support while gathering resident data. Qualified candidates hold a valid Florida EMT certification/license and CPR certification, with a high school diploma or GED. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, follow instructions, and exercise sound judgment in stressful situations. Prior emergency care experience is preferred. $18.00 per hour with shift differentials; PRN, part-time.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Current EMT certification/license in the state of Florida
- Current CPR certification
- 1 year of experience in an emergency care setting preferred
- Ability to bend, pull, push, and lift to 50 pounds
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Demonstrated ability to implement clinical care in accordance with outlined policies and procedures
- Ability to exercise sound judgment while working in a stressful environment
