Job Summary
Provides quality basic emergency medical response in both emergent and non-emergent environments. Facilitates 911 and inter-facility requests for service. Delivers pre-hospital care including professional clinical judgements, documentation of patient assessment and treatment, and safe patient movement and transportation. Operates an ambulance in a safe, defensive manner and ensures vehicle readiness and equipment stock. Participates in orientation and training of new staff and assists with performance coaching. Requires EMT-Basic certification, professional-rescuer CPR, PHTLS/ILS, EVOC, valid NJ driver’s license, and adherence to department training and safety protocols. Part-time, day shift (12 Hr) coverage with a typical hourly rate of $21.85 to $32.83.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized Emergency Medical Technician-Basic Training Program
- Certified as an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic by the Commissioner of Health & Senior Services of the State of New Jersey
- Current CPR certification to professional rescuer level
- PHTLS or ILS
- EVOC
- Valid Driver’s license recognized by the State of New Jersey
- Ability to pass yearly trainings (PPD, Fit Test, Corporate Compliance, HIPAA, Safety Day)
