Job Summary
Administer basic life support treatments and safely operate emergency vehicles while delivering competent patient care in various settings. Apply EMS procedures in practical situations, document information accurately in the charting system, and assist fellow providers with comprehensive reports. Maintain equipment, ensure cleanliness, and restock supplies while adhering to company and local agency policies. Demonstrate professional, ethical behavior and a clean appearance throughout shifts. Requires current EMT certification, valid driver's license, and ability to lift up to 125 lbs. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Current EMT certification
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to safely operate EMS vehicles and essential equipment
- Ability to bend, sit, kneel and lift up to 125 lbs; push/pull objects over 50 lbs
- Physical agility for safe patient handling in demanding environments
- Ability to tolerate extended periods of driving or riding in an ambulance
- Ability to perform effectively in physically strenuous and emotionally challenging situations
