Job Summary
Provide emergency medical care and transportation as part of Baptist Health's transport EMS team. Responsibilities include conducting thorough patient assessments to identify injuries, illnesses, or emergencies; delivering compassionate care and emotional support to patients and families during transport; monitoring vital signs and adjusting treatments to ensure stability; lifting and moving patients (up to 250lbs) in a team setting; safely transporting patients to medical facilities; communicating handovers to receiving personnel; maintaining detailed patient care records (PCRs); collaborating with other healthcare professionals; ensuring EMS equipment and vehicles are stocked, maintained, and compliant with safety standards; performing routine vehicle inspections and reporting any issues. Requires high school diploma or equivalency, EMT-Basic certification, BLS, valid driver's license, and relevant Kentucky Board of EMS training.”,
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Emergency Medical Technician-Basic Certification by the Kentucky Board of EMS
- BLS for Healthcare Provider issued by AHA or ARC
- Other certifications and specialty training as required by the Kentucky Board of EMS
- Valid driver's license
