Job Summary
EMT-Paramedic providing critical, independent medical support for high-risk training operations, tactical missions, and clinical facilities at Fort Belvoir. Duties include designing and executing comprehensive medical support plans, delivering instruction on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), Basic/Advanced Trauma Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and travel medicine; delivering a full spectrum of clinical and emergency care at aid stations and in the field; maintaining accurate medical records and processing laboratory, imaging, and pharmaceutical requests; managing Class VIII medical resupply and routine immunizations; coordinating field logistics and enabling readiness through OPFOR support during mock exercises.
Required Qualifications
- Active National Registry (NREMT-P) and/or state Paramedic certification
- Tactical Medical Experience: Proven experience planning and executing medical support in high-risk training environments or tactical field scenarios
- Instructional Capabilities: Strong background in medical education, with the capability or active credentials to instruct TCCC, PALS, and advanced trauma care courses
- Security Clearance: Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance
- Technical Proficiency: Comfort navigating complex database systems for patient charting and medical transcription
