Job Summary
Licensed medical professional to work in a fast growing minimally invasive spine surgery clinic. Responsibilities include inputting forms and patient information, completing FMLA, prepping H&P packets, MRI authorizations, printing/distributing folders, filtering tasks, returning patient calls, checking patients in/out, brace fitting and education for pre-op patients, educating patients on procedures, taking vitals and performing EKGs, scanning and EMR data entry, reviewing weekly schedule, assisting in clinic, and traveling to other locations as needed. Requires strong communication, attention to detail, ability to work with EMR systems, and ability to travel between offices. Travel between offices is required on occasion; effective teamwork and patient-centered care are emphasized.**
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED or equivalent
- BLS Certificate
- Current License in the state of Florida
- Experience as an EMT or Medical Assistant (preferred)
- Certified Medical Assistant (preferred)
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of the health care field
- Knowledge of counseling, conflict resolution, and customer service principles and applications
- Knowledge of Insurance and/or experience with verification of insurance eligibility
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff via phone, in person and through email
