Job Summary
Perform physical examinations, establish medical histories, and evaluate donor suitability for plasma donation centers. Build rapport with donors, ensure confidentiality, and provide education on general health and counseling for unacceptable test results. Evaluate and manage donor injuries, adverse events, and histories of illness or medications. Administer the employee Hepatitis Vaccine program and assist in staff training. Work involves standing and sitting for up to four hours daily, with potential exposure to biological fluids and extreme cold in freezers. Requires current state licensure as an EMT, LPN, or Paramedic, plus CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- EMTB, EMTA, Paramedic or LPN
- Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocation Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT
- Current CPR certification
