Job Summary
The EMT/Paramedic position at Octapharma Plasma involves performing medical evaluations of potential donors for automated plasmapheresis, determining donor suitability in consultation with physicians, and providing limited emergency care. Candidates are expected to maintain compliance with donor suitability criteria, manage communication logs, and review blood tests for abnormalities. A licensure as an EMT Intermediate, Advanced, or Paramedic, along with CPR certification, is required. Ideal candidates must possess strong customer service skills, organizational abilities, and an eagerness to learn, with one or more years of relevant experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a recognized healthcare educational program
- Current licensure as an EMT Intermediate, Advanced, or Paramedic
- Current certification in CPR
- Ability to educate donors, staff, and community regarding plasma donation
- Basic computer proficiency; Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Blood bank or plasma center experience
- One or more years of hospital, field care, or plasma center experience
Additional Requirements
- Must work within the scope of the professional license/certification, as defined by the state in which the work is performed
