Job Summary
EMT role focused on preparing patients for examinations, assisting providers during care, updating health records, and supporting clinical workflows. Responsibilities include directing patients to exam rooms, recording vital signs and medical history, performing ECGs and placing heart monitors, minor wound care in vascular settings, patient education on medications and diet, ensuring accurate documentation in EMR, maintaining HIPAA confidentiality, and participating in interdepartmental coordination. Travel to additional offices and adherence to professional standards and regulatory requirements are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Clinical healthcare experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Teams)
- Ability to travel to other offices as needed
- BLS certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Experience in an EMR (electronic medical records) system
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Clinical cardiology or vascular experience
- BLS (Must obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Experience in an EMR, ADP Workforce Now
- MA education
- Certified Medical Assistant
