EMT - Hampton VA

Perform physical examination and establish medical history to determine plasma-donor suitability. Build rapport with donors to ensure overall patient and donor satisfaction. Ensure donor and staff confidentiality. Assess donor awareness of potential hazards and provide donor education regarding general health while counseling on unacceptable test results. Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events. Perform evaluations of any history of illness or medications to ensure continued donor suitability. Assist in employee training and administer the Hepatitis vaccination program for staff. Work in a plasma donation center, with exposure to biological fluids and laboratory environments. Maintain compliance with safety protocols and PPE requirements. Requires licensure/certification in the state (RN, LPN, LVN, Paramedic, or EMT) and CPR certification.
