Job Summary
Provide patient assessment and initiate treatment within State protocols, coordinating medical direction by radio or telephone when standing orders are not used. Operate and maintain the emergency vehicle, keeping the ambulance clean and stocked, while completing prehospital reports within 24 hours and charting in the EMR. Collaborate with EMS partners, nursing staff, physicians, law enforcement, and fire personnel to support continuity of care across the community. This full-time, onsite night role requires a current State of Iowa EMT certification, BLS certification, and a strong Iowa driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited EMT program
- Current State of Iowa EMT certification
- Current BLS certification
- Current Iowa driver's license
- Strong communication, empathy, and customer service skills
