Job Summary
Conduct patrols of all property sections to identify safety hazards and enforce company policies. Provide emergency medical assistance, including CPR and first aid, as the primary first responder for guest and employee injuries. Escort customers, give directions, and interview or investigate incidents while documenting details for reports. Testify in court and administrative hearings when required. Maintain presence for each gaming session and adhere to strict attendance guidelines. Work any day of the week, including shifts in extreme heat or cold, while physically restraining adults and lifting heavy loads.
Required Qualifications
- Currently certified/license as an EMT by the State of Louisiana
- Valid Louisiana Driver's License with no DUI's or Suspensions within the last three (3) years
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years' experience in a position with direct guest contact
- Ability to prepare effective written reports
- Alcohol Awareness certification
- First Aid certification
- CPR certification
- Ability to work any day of the week and any shift
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to physically restrain adults who weight more than 200 pounds
- Ability to respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to stoop, bend, jump, twist, crouch, grip, carry heavy loads, and maneuver quickly on level surfaces, as well as, up and down stairs
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds
- Ability to push or pull up to 150 pounds
- Ability to make rational decisions when handling guest and employee issues
- Ability to see and remember the specific details of incidents and persons
- Ability to give court testimony when necessary and write detailed reports
- Ability to respond to visual and aural cues
- Ability to present a well groomed appearance
- Ability to work and stand inside and outside, sometimes in heat in excess of 115 degrees or cold as low as 10 degrees
- Ability to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) years police, military police, or casino security experience
