Job Summary
Assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency and non-emergency medical services using appropriate techniques and equipment. Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality. Operate an ambulance in compliance with safety policies and traffic laws. Collaborate professionally with allied health personnel and fellow EMTs. Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients. Provide high-quality care and customer service to patients. Work collaboratively with all public safety personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Driver's License
- NY State EMT certification
- Nassau and Suffolk REMAC credentials
- CPR/BLS certification
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Ability Test (PAT)
Desired Qualifications
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
