Job Summary
Assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency and non-emergency medical services using appropriate techniques and equipment. Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality. Operate an ambulance in compliance with safety policies and traffic laws. Collaborate professionally with allied health personnel and fellow EMTs. Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients. Utilize communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, and office tools as required. This role supports Global Medical Response's delivery of compassionate care in emergency and patient relocation services. Starting pay is $20.35/hour and up based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Driver's License
- NY State EMT certification
- Nassau and Suffolk REMAC credentials
- CPR/BLS certification
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Ability Test (PAT)
Desired Qualifications
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
