Job Summary
Administer medications as prescribed and document effectiveness, adverse reactions, and side effects. Perform routine phlebotomy, gather vital signs, and assist patients with feeding, hygiene, and activities of daily living. Conduct social and recreational activities, observe patients under direction, and monitor medical supplies and equipment. Maintain strict confidentiality, ensure infection control compliance, and coordinate care with custody staff in a correctional setting. Requires Medical Aide and Certified Nursing Aide certifications, current TB documentation, and active CPR certification. One year of acute care, emergency, or correctional experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Medical Aide certification with approval for medication administration
- Certified Nursing Aide certification
- Current tuberculosis documentation
- Active CPR certification
- Must be able to pass background investigation
- Must be able to obtain agency security clearance where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- One Year experience in acute care, emergency, or correctional setting
