Job Summary
Administer basic life support treatments, safely operate and maintain emergency vehicles, and deliver competent patient care in various settings. Perform equipment checks, maintain station cleanliness, restock supplies, and document information accurately in our charting system. Interact professionally with healthcare personnel, maintain clear communications with the Dispatch Center, and assist fellow providers with comprehensive reports. Adhere to company policies and protocols while demonstrating professional, ethical behavior. Maintain clear and consistent communications with the Dispatch Center.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Current EMT certification
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Current CPR
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to safely operate EMS vehicles and essential equipment
- Bend, sit, kneel, and lift up to 125 lbs
- Push/pull objects over 50 lbs
- Maintain physical agility for safe patient handling in demanding environments
- Tolerate extended periods of driving or riding in an ambulance
- Perform effectively in physically strenuous and emotionally challenging situations
- Demonstrate a clean appearance and professional, ethical behavior
- Maintain clear and consistent communications with the Dispatch Center
- Ability to safely administer first aid to injured coworkers when necessary
