Job Summary
Responds in an emergency medical vehicle to scenes of emergencies, non-emergencies and interfacility transports; provides immediate basic life support care to patients at the scene and enroute to hospital; performs patient assessment, determines needed care, documents information, and maintains patient confidentiality; operates an ambulance in accordance with safety policies and traffic laws; collaborates with other health and public safety personnel; maintains required in-service education per Indiana EMS Agency; secondary duties may include community programs and equipment checks on each shift.
Required Qualifications
- EMT-Basic certification or equivalent license
- EMT-Basic - Indiana EMS Commission curriculum adherence
- Ability to perform basic life support and emergency procedures
- Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality
- Operate ambulance in accordance with safety policies and traffic laws
- Team collaboration with allied health and public safety personnel
- Maintain in-service education as prescribed by Indiana State EMS Agency
- Part-time/PRN availability
