Job Summary
Part-time EMT BASIC responsible for recognizing medical emergencies, performing physical exams, and instituting emergency therapy for non-cardiac emergencies. Duties include quality patient care, filing standardized reports, maintaining communication with physicians, transporting patients, operating emergency vehicles safely, and conducting technical rescues. Candidates must possess EMT/EMT-B certification, CPR certification, and demonstrate technical medical skills and a professional approach to patient care. Additional requirements include maintaining high knowledge in emergency medicine and participating in continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- EMT / EMT-B certification
- CPR for the Health Care Provider
- Good knowledge of the street systems and addresses
- Good ability to perform technical medical skills with high accuracy
- Ability to understand and deal with emotional and medical needs of victims
- Professional approach to patient care
- Skills in learning new medical concepts and techniques
- Ability to operate emergency ambulance units
- Skill in writing reports accurately
