As an EMT Basic, you will respond to medical emergencies, performing assessments, providing emergency therapies, and ensuring quality patient care. Responsibilities include transporting patients, operating emergency vehicles, maintaining equipment, and filing reports. Candidates must hold EMT and CPR certifications, demonstrate proficiency in emergency medical skills, maintain professionalism, and be prepared for physical demands such as lifting and operating in various conditions.
Required Qualifications
- EMT / EMT-B certification
- CPR for the Health Care Provider certification
- Good knowledge of the street systems and emergency medical equipment
- Ability to perform technical medical skills accurately
- Ability to maintain professional demeanor
- Ability to understand and deal with emotional and medical needs of victims
- Ability to learn new medical concepts and techniques
- Drive and operate emergency ambulance units
Additional Requirements
- Applicant must maintain a high degree of academic and practical knowledge in emergency medicine
