Job Summary
Respond to calls to provide efficient and immediate patient care, with 70% of responses involving emergency transport to emergency rooms. Work closely with the dispatcher/operations to determine the best response strategy and use verbal and written communication skills to accurately capture patient care details. Follow company protocols and standards of care while ensuring proper PPE and inventory on your squad, utilizing equipment including light-weight Stryker POWER cots and Lifepak 15 Monitors. Note that bariatric patients are not accepted. ALS and BLS certification is required, with HEMS Mobile Touch knowledge as a plus. Flexible scheduling includes 8, 10, 12, and 15-hour shifts across days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- ALS and BLS Certified
- Work closely with dispatcher/operations to determine the best way to respond to calls
- Use verbal and written communication skills to accurately capture details of patient care
- Prior knowledge of HEMS Mobile Touch is a plus!
- Follow company protocols and standards of care
- Be responsible for proper PPE/inventory on your squad
- ALL squads are equipped with light-weight Stryker POWER cots!
- Lifepak 15 Monitors
- NO bariatric patients
- Graduate of an EMT course that meets or exceeds the National Standards Curriculum
- Active Ohio EMT certification
- Current BLS CPR certification
- Valid Ohio Driver's License
- Clean 3-year driving record
- MUST possess a high school diploma or GED
