Job Summary
Respond to calls to provide efficient, immediate care for patients, with 70% of responses involving emergency transports to emergency rooms. Work closely with dispatchers to determine optimal response strategies and utilize verbal and written communication skills to accurately capture patient care details. Adhere strictly to company protocols and University Hospitals Protocol standards while operating Lifepak 15 monitors. Shifts range from 8 to 15 hours, available on weekdays, late evenings, and weekends, with flexible scheduling for students. Compensation is $20–$25 per hour for EMT Basics or $25–$30 per hour for Paramedics based on experience. The team receives comprehensive PPE, including gloves, gowns, masks, and face shields, and utilizes lightweight STRYKER power cots. No bariatric patients are transported.
Required Qualifications
- MUST possess a high school diploma or GED
- graduate of an EMT course that meets or exceeds the National Standards Curriculum
- must possess a valid Ohio EMT certification
- current CPR card
- Ohio Driver's License
