Job Summary
Conduct preliminary evaluations to triage patients and determine the urgency of their medical needs in our urgent care setting. Perform basic clinical procedures such as taking vital signs, obtaining medical histories, and assisting with minor medical procedures while documenting patient information accurately in electronic health records. Engage with patients to address inquiries, explain prescribed medications, and offer guidance on lifestyle modifications and preventive healthcare. Collaborate closely with providers and clinical staff to relay patient updates, coordinate discharge plans, and welcome new team members. Work flexible 12-hour shifts across multiple ConvenientMD locations within a one-hour travel distance, with availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Nationally certified and licensed EMT
- At least one (1) year as an EMT
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts in consecutive and or non-consecutive days
- Must be able to work three (3) 12-hour shifts a week with at least four (4) shifts a month on a Saturday or Sunday
- Must be able to work two (2) 12-hour shifts per week with at least two (2) shifts a month on a Saturday or Sunday
- Must be able to work four (4) 12-hour shifts per month, ideally working one (1) shift each week
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays
- Must be able to work at a minimum of three (3) other ConvenientMD locations within a one (1) hour travel distance from your primary clinic
- Must be able to travel for training shifts which may occur outside of your primary clinic within a one (1) hour commute

- Trustworthy: Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Effective communicator and cross collaborator

- Technically savvy: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, experience with or ability to learn Experity as well as other business systems
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of patient triage experience in an urgent care or emergency department
