Job Summary
Respond to emergency and non-emergency ambulance requests to provide immediate care to the ill and injured. Check and monitor ambulance readiness, clearly communicate crew and vehicle positions, and transport patients in the wheelchair van when needed. Clean ambulances, utility vehicles, and crew quarters daily. Provide direction to EMTs during calls. Requires an Illinois EMT license, driver's license, and completion of NIMS 200, 700, and 800 certifications within six months, plus Hazardous Materials Awareness and Emergency Response to Terrorism certifications. Full-time role at Carle Health in central Illinois.
