Job Summary
Lead and coordinate Level I and II tasks, including project meetings, subcontractor oversight, and daily progress updates to the Project Manager. Enforce company installation and commissioning standards while independently composing professional documents and transmittals. Manage complex energy systems, configure central plants and air handling units, and troubleshoot logic using GFB and Modbus/BACnet protocols. Supervise lower-level technicians, validate sequences of operation, and lead commissioning teams through full system integration and documentation. Conduct site inspections, manage project revisions, and ensure all final redline and as-built deliverables meet standards before submission.

- Ability to review and understand project Scope of Work (SOW), Submittals, and Sequences of Operation (SOOs)
- Ability to independently compose professional documents and transmittals
- Ability to be recognized as a respected leader by peers and team members
- Ability to effectively lead and follow through on project processes and timelines
- Ability to attend project meetings and represent the company professionally
- Ability to oversee subcontractor work and delegate tasks, corrections, and responsibilities
- High reliability and accountability for both personal and team assignments
- Ability to proactively lead team operations without direct instruction from the Project Manager
- Ability to stay current on new technologies and independently pursue learning opportunities
- Understanding of all types of central plants, including 2-pipe, 4-pipe, and decoupled systems
- Ability to configure and manage systems for central plants, hot water loops, and air handling units
- Ability to install and update the WebCTRL operating system, including service patches
- Ability to complete start-to-finish third-party system integrations
- Proficiency in Modbus, BACnet, and other company-supported control protocols
- Ability to implement system integrations such as global points, requests, optimal start/stop, and LAN shutdowns
- Ability to troubleshoot complex logic using GFB, program editing, and graphic customization
- Ability to validate SOOs as specified in project documentation and per customer direction
- Ability to install clippings and logic blocks where applicable
- Ability to diagnose and configure network devices based on manufacturer specifications
- Understanding of networking concepts such as NAT, BBMDs, and router configurations
- Ability to train others and install lighting control systems including contactors, photocells, and functional blocks
- Ability to set up power monitoring systems and integrate with building controls
- Ability to install and configure refrigerant monitoring systems and related devices
- Ability to utilize XML Editor, Engineering Interface (EI), Energy Reports, and Fault Detection Diagnostics tools
- Ability to coordinate with other trades and subcontractors at a superintendent level
- Ability to supervise and mentor lower-level technicians across multiple projects
- Ability to submit complete and accurate redline/as-built documentation immediately after project completion
- Ability to support Project Managers in tracking task completion within budgeted hours
- Ability to lead the commissioning team through the entire process, documenting and resolving system issues
- Ability to manage all project revisions and ensure project completion meets or exceeds standards
- Ability to oversee the retrieval and organization of all final project documentation and system backups
- Ability to conduct project site inspections independently or alongside the Project Manager
