EMS Paramedic Workforce Trainer, Part Time

Job Summary
Train and direct students on proper emergency procedures including suctioning, oxygen therapy, airway management, and CPR instruction for infants and adults. Demonstrate procedures such as spinal immobilization, vital signs, and patient assessment while teaching skills like metered dose inhalers, epi pens, and code management. Prepare EMS lab sessions with necessary materials and equipment to effectively teach or evaluate EMS skills using simulation manikins. Maintain current working knowledge of pre-hospital practices and revise course content to ensure accurate instruction. Complete documentation including grades as required by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of experience as a Paramedic functioning on an emergency response ambulance
- Paramedic certification from the Texas Department of State Health Services
- Knowledge of EMS practices
- Knowledge of laboratory safety practices
- Knowledge of emergency procedures
- Knowledge of pre-hospital practices
- Knowledge of proper assessment techniques
- Skill to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment in a safe and correct manner
- Teaching and testing skills
- Ability to deliver instructional presentations
- Ability to prepare EMS lab
- Ability to train and direct students
- Expertise in Emergency Medicine
- Expertise in Basic and Advanced Life Support Skills
- AAS Degree EMS Instructor Certification
- BLS Instructor
- ACLS Instructor
- PALS Instructor
- PHTLS Instructor
- NREMT Paramedic
- Clinical Coordinator experience
- Equivalent combination of education, training and relevant professional experience
