Job Summary
The EMS Engineer – Level III is a senior-level controls engineering professional responsible for executing complete project engineering from inception to completion, ensuring quality, performance, and budget goals. The role includes mentoring junior engineers, verifying compliance with engineering standards, and providing technical oversight on complex building automation projects. Expert knowledge of WebCTRL, Tridium/JACE, Central Utility Plants, and third-party protocol integrations (Modbus, BACnet) is required, with potential to lead or assist in system start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization while coordinating with electricians, HVAC technicians, and other trades. Core activities include regular progress updates, enforcing standards, thorough review of project scopes and specifications, and development of professional documentation with minimal oversight. The position emphasizes leadership, mentorship, collaboration, and continuous improvement in engineering practices, as well as advanced technical capabilities in programming, simulation, and optimization of multi-site building automation systems.
