Job Summary
Community Based Counselor role providing Intensive In-home and Mental Health Skill Building Services in the greater Richmond area (including Richmond, Henrico, Chesterfield, Petersburg, Hanover). The QMHP must be registered with the Virginia Board of Counseling. Responsibilities include 1-on-1 mental health counseling, skill-building for adults with serious mental illness, taking clients to appointments and to link with community resources, case management to meet basic needs, providing individual and family counseling to children and adolescents, completing individualized service plans, quarterly reports, and progress notes, and participating in supervision and team meetings. The organization offers benefits for full-time staff and supports supervision toward licensure for licensure-track clinicians.
Required Qualifications
- Must be registered with the Virginia Board of Counseling as a QMHP
- Licensed or licensed-eligible as LCSW or LPC
- Ability to provide Intensive In-home and community-based mental health services
- Experience with children and/or adults in counseling
- Ability to complete individualized service plans and progress notes
- Supervision toward licensure available
