EMS Comm Specialist - Athens - Limestone - PRN - Shift Varies

Dispatch emergency calls to closest appropriate units using CAD tools and monitor radio frequencies to track developing situations. Operate two-way radios to relay information to public safety agencies and medical first responders while reading maps and computer screens to determine locations and provide directions. Enter, update, and retrieve information from automated systems, document communications on incident logs, and process ambulance service charges. Scan computer screens to contact field units and determine availability for dispatch requests. Requires Emergency Medical Dispatch certification within one year and MOAB. Works 24-hour, 7-day rotation with variable shifts.
