Job Summary

Adjunct EMS instructor sought to teach Emergency Medical Services courses on the Missouri Southern State University campus in Joplin. The role requires Nationally Registered Paramedic status with the NREMT, an active state paramedic license, and at least 3 years of ALS provider experience. Candidates should have BLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, ITLS, AMLS, and PEHPE/PHPHP credentials preferred, with instructor certifications desirable. The position is 20 hours per week with on-campus availability on Tuesdays 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and Wednesdays 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m., plus additional hours for clinical site visits in the Joplin area. Documents to be submitted include a detailed letter of application, CV, transcripts, and three professional references. Background check required. Official transcripts due within 45 days after contract.

Required Qualifications

  • Nationally Registered Paramedic with the NREMT

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)
  • International Trauma Life Support (ITLS)
  • Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS)
  • Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPHP) preferred
  • Instructor certifications preferred
