Job Summary
Design, develop, and implement electronic medical records (EMR) solutions that align with healthcare industry standards. Customize and configure EMR systems to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure while collaborating with healthcare professionals and IT teams to tailor solutions. Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and train staff on proper system usage. Ensure data security and privacy compliance, document configurations, and contribute to strategies optimizing EMR performance. Work with vendors to evaluate new solutions and maintain system reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field
- Proven experience as an EMR Solution Engineer or in a similar role within healthcare IT
- Strong understanding of electronic medical records systems and healthcare workflows
- Proficiency in programming languages and scripting relevant to EMR solutions
- Experience with EMR software applications and platforms
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards
- Experience with Epic My chart integrations
- Experience with Amazon Web Services environment
- Experience with hospital feeds and terminology
- Scripting languages (Javascript, Perl or ksh) and knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of XSLT
- Development experience in any object oriented language (e.g. C#, Java, etc.)
- Strong knowledge in OOP/OOD and design patterns
- 2 or more years of experience in software development
- Database experience
- Experience in back-end J2EE development
- Expert in the following technologies: EJB3; JMS; Web Services; XML
- Experience with DB2/Oracle, Hibernate, JDBC, SQL SOA; ESB; Rules Engine; BPEL knowledge
- Experience with laboratory feeds and terminology
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a healthcare or healthcare support industry is strongly desired
