Job Summary
Respond to emergency calls as a driver or secondary patient attendant under EMT direction, carrying out all functions within your scope of practice with sound judgment in stressful situations. Maintain technical skills to a high standard while providing emotional stability to patients and affected individuals. Ensure timely responses and adhere to state standards, standing orders, and department protocols. Maintain confidentiality and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to coordinate workflow and ensure a productive environment. Comply with safety principles and regulations including CMS, The Joint Commission, and OSHA. Requires an active Minnesota Emergency Medical Responder license and driver's license upon hire.
Required Qualifications
- Drivers License - Licensing Board Upon Hire
- Emergency Medical Responder - Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board (MEMSRB) An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire
- visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- ability to communicate effectively with others
- ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
- ability to work the hours specified
