Job Summary

Implementation of pre-employment transition instruction including job exploration counseling, workplace readiness training, self-advocacy, post-secondary opportunities, and work-based learning experiences for high school students with disabilities aged 14-21; collaborate with students, families, counselors, school personnel, employers, and education partners to develop employment transition opportunities; conduct engaging group sessions, provide workplace readiness training to address barriers to employment such as transportation or benefits, build relationships with partner agencies, locate and provide work-based learning opportunities including paid internships, and complete relevant reporting and documentation; travel locally to multiple sites, flexibility for evenings/weekends, and ability to support students with disabilities in various settings.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, Human Services or related field, plus 1 year of related experience with program development and training/working with students and/or individuals with disabilities required.
  • Or, in lieu of an Associate’s Degree, the candidate must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least 3 years of experience in teaching, Special Education or Human Services.
