Employment Tax Manager

Job Summary
Lead the Employment and Expatriate Tax agenda for the Group from a UK base with a global remit, including UK employment tax compliance (PSA, P11D/PBIK, STBV, share schemes), global mobility and cross-border working arrangements, contractor tax risk (IR35, worker classification), and payroll tax governance. Partner with HR, Payroll, Legal, Finance and business leaders to shape policy, strengthen controls, and drive practical solutions across multi-jurisdictional operations. Role offers flexible engagement (full-time or 3–4 days per week) with a focus on ownership, risk identification, governance improvements, and impactful stakeholder advisory. Requires extensive tax experience and professional qualification (e.g., ATT/CTA or equivalent accounting qualification).
Required Qualifications
- Extensive employment and expatriate tax experience
- Strong knowledge of UK employment tax compliance and related reporting obligations
- Experience across global mobility, contractor status, share schemes, payroll tax controls and benefits
- The ability to manage complex, multi-jurisdictional issues with confidence and pragmatism
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- A recognised tax qualification, such as ATT or CTA, or a relevant accounting qualification with strong tax-specific experience
