Job Summary
Secure community-based employment for adults with disabilities by developing person-centered employment plans and collaborating with behavioral health providers, families, and community service agencies. Assist individuals in mastering job skills, meeting production standards, and modeling work behavior, while coordinating services with NCDVR staff. Travel throughout the Durham area to support these placements within a full-time, Monday-through-Friday schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid, unrestricted, state appropriate driver's license
- Good driving record
- Current, unrestricted vehicle insurance
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory to support community-based program
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 2 years' experience supporting adults with mental health disabilities and/or substance abuse
- Knowledge of the labor market and community services agencies
- Skills in writing task analysis
- Skills in systemic job training
- Skills in counseling
- Skills in advocacy
- Skills in supported employment
