Job Summary
The Employment Specialist is responsible for job development, job site skill training, task analysis, on-going situational assessment, and career development. Essential functions include establishing relationships with employers, maintaining service delivery standards, providing job-specific training, and performing case management and advocacy services. Candidates must possess an Associates degree, a valid NYS Driver's License, and meet physical requirements of the role. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree
- NYS Driver’s License
- Ability to transport individuals in a personal vehicle
- Lifting capability of 35 lbs
- Ability to meet physical requirements including manual lifting and transferring
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in job development and site training
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to advocate for individuals with disabilities
- Familiarity with community resources and employment supports
Additional Requirements
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals as required
