Employment Specialist

Employment Specialist within the Work Force Development Department provides individual services to assist adults experiencing homelessness in achieving income stability and securing sustainable housing. Responsibilities include engaging participants, promoting earned income opportunities, delivering employment services and referrals, coaching on resume/cover letter development, assisting with job placement, conducting housing pathway assessments, addressing barriers to employment, coordinating wraparound resources, and maintaining documentation across databases. The role requires collaboration with internal/external partners, facilitating discussions in diverse settings (SFH sites, virtual, shelters, community-based locations), and ensuring participants have actionable plans aligned with contract requirements and agency outcomes.
