Job Summary
Employment Specialist responsible for coaching individuals with developmental disabilities toward competitive employment. Duties include developing essential job skills, assisting with job placement, coaching on resume creation and interview techniques, on-site support at job sites, and maintaining documentation. Role requires collaboration with license and department staff during inspections or inquiries. Starting pay is $18 per hour. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, two years of relevant full-time experience, and a valid driver’s license. This is a full-time position with nonprofit Community Options, Inc. in Binghamton, NY.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years’ full-time work experience in supporting people with disabilities
- Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
