Job Summary
Employment Specialist at Our Daily Bread Employment Center delivering individualized employment counseling and job readiness services, guiding career pathway planning, résumé and interview prep, job search assistance, and referrals to training. Leads Work4Success workshops (classroom and one-on-one), engages employers to create sustainable workforce partnerships, and coordinates with client services to address barriers to employment. Responsibilities include building employer partnerships, matching opportunities to participant strengths, meeting outreach/placement goals, facilitating offsite events, and providing foundational case-management support with strong communication, organizational, and computer skills. This role requires travel to community events as needed and a commitment to the program’s mission in Baltimore.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Two (2) years’ experience in workforce development, career counseling, employment services, or case management
- Experience working with diverse and/or underserved populations, including individuals facing barriers to employment
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employers, training providers, and community partners
- Demonstrated experience with event coordination, including organizing and supporting job fairs and resource events
