Job Summary
Provide person-centered support to adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities while developing specific plans to achieve personal and employment goals. Facilitate social interactions between participants and co-workers, model productive behavior, and teach behaviors leading to professional growth. Build constructive relationships with employers, prepare employees for interviews, and coordinate travel training and transportation. Communicate via one-on-one meetings, surveys, or virtual platforms like Zoom and Webex, while accurately collecting and reviewing employment records. Identify and implement environmental modifications and assistive technologies as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License required at time of and for duration of employment
- Background screening and drug testing required
- Travel STATEWIDE with use of personal vehicle
- MUST have a home computer or tablet, smartphone and reliable internet
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- Proficient using computer software as a work tool, including MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Zoom, Webex and Google Meets
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
- Special Education degree or experience and bilingual is beneficial
- Experience working with young adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred
- Advocacy, counseling, job coaching skills
