Job Summary
This role provides person-centered employment support to adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, including job training, job coaching, accommodations, and ongoing coordination with employees and employers to ensure tasks are performed effectively. Responsibilities include developing achievement plans, facilitating social interactions at the job site, modeling productive behavior, building rapport, preparing for interviews and problem-solving, documenting employment progress, and coordinating transportation when needed. Must communicate with clients and employers via various methods (in-person, email, phone, text, video meetings) and utilize assistive technologies and environmental modifications. Requires statewide travel, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with MS Office and virtual meeting tools (Zoom, Webex, Google Meet). Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred; experience with individuals with disabilities and bilingual ability are beneficial. Equal Opportunity Employer, applications via email only.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
- Special Education degree or experience and bilingual is beneficial
- Experience working with young adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred
- Valid Driver’s License required at time of and for duration of employment
- Background screening and drug testing required
- Travel STATEWIDE with use of personal vehicle (MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT PROVIDED)
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- MUST have a home computer or tablet, smartphone and reliable internet
- Advocacy, counseling, job coaching skills
- Proficient using computer software as a work tool, including MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Zoom, Webex and Google Meets
