Job Summary
Conduct screening and assessments of participants' employment history, aptitudes, and interests to develop individualized employment plans. Facilitate workshops on resume writing, job interviewing skills, and childcare, while providing vocational counseling and referrals to training programs. Act as a liaison with government offices and training providers to secure job placements, and coordinate on-site employer hiring events. Assist participants with applications and interviews, then follow up with employers on placement status. Document all efforts in HMIS and prepare monthly reports. Participate in weekly team meetings, case conferences, and supervisory sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge of the challenges faced by the homeless veteran population and the supportive services available to successfully achieve the goal of permanent housing and self-sufficiency
- Prior experience in vocational training, employment search and placement, case management, assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention
- Computer literate, specifically with Microsoft applications
- Valid US driver's license
