Job Summary
Employment Specialist responsible for managing caseloads in the Connect to Work programme, delivering personalised pathways into employment for participants with health conditions, disabilities or complex needs. Duties include using vocational profiling to develop My Success Plans, building an Employability Passport (CV development, interview preparation, confidence building, and disclosure guidance), promoting the benefits of employment, identifying inclusive job opportunities with local employers, providing in-work support to participants and employers, collaborating with mental health teams and health professionals, championing inclusive recruitment, maintaining accurate journey records, and working flexibly across community venues and from home to meet people where they are. Requires empathy, proactivity, and a genuine belief in the impact of good work; ability to travel across Liverpool to meet participants in various locations; strong relationship-building skills to engage participants, employers and stakeholders; and capability to operate in both in-person and remote environments.
Required Qualifications
- Experience supporting people with health conditions, disabilities or complex needs
- Proven experience with the Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF)
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently across local communities
- Strong digital skills; able to operate in face-to-face and remote environments
- Experience in fast-paced, target-driven environments
- Knowledge of safeguarding, mental health first aid or systematic instruction (preferred)
