Job Summary
Employment Specialist within the Career Core Supported Employment Program (CCSEP) at Neighborhood House Association. Responsible for maintaining a caseload of active job seekers, conducting vocational support groups and classes, collecting and entering data in the IPS tracking tool, and establishing linkages with potential employers to achieve weekly employer contacts. Develop person-specific plans aligned with client goals, provide timely face-to-face follow-along supports, and participate in supervision and multidisciplinary team discussions. Must apply knowledge of the IPS model, psychosocial rehabilitation, and WRAP; demonstrate strong planning, communication, and organizational skills; and assist clients with informed decision making. Requires comfort with working in a non-profit, social-service environment and the ability to navigate needs of individuals with severe mental illness and co-occurring disorders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to coordinate with community resources is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of two years education post high school and one (1) year experience as an IPS Specialist or an employment specialist or related experience
- IPS Peer or IPS Certification or Peer Support Specialist Certification preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- A valid Class B California Driver’s License with passenger endorsement within 6 months of hire
- A clear TB test required upon hire and must be maintained every four (4) years
