Job Summary
Provide direct services and support to individuals receiving Pre-Vocational Services, Employment Training Program, and Supported Employment as outlined in their Individual Service Plans. Deliver training on social skills, communication, travel, and transportation while assisting recipients with job development through situational assessments, site tours, and job shadows. Act as a liaison between individuals, families, employers, and providers to ensure appropriate service delivery and maintain daily documentation of progress. Safeguard service plans, learn the eVero database system, and facilitate positive relationships between service recipients and their work sites. Conduct outreach to the community about offered services and attend required trainings and staff meetings. Follow assigned days and hours of service, providing safe transportation as needed while adhering to all agency policies and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- one year of experience in rehabilitation placement or related field
- enrollment in a specialized course approved by ACCES-VR
- Valid NY State Driver License
- access to a reliable vehicle
Desired Qualifications
- enrollment in a Master's Degree program in vocational rehabilitation counselor or evaluation or related areas
- Relevant years of experience and education
