Job Summary
Employment Services Support role supporting the City of Norfolk’s Department of Economic Development (Norfolk Works Program). Responsibilities include explaining available services to job seekers, guiding them through employment-related processes, maintaining accurate documentation, collaborating with staff to ensure quality delivery of services, assisting with job fairs and community events, and providing empathetic, professional support to diverse job seekers. Requires experience in employment services, teaching, HR, or customer service; strong listening and communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems. Schedule is part-time (28 hours/week) Monday–Thursday, 8:30/9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 3-month assignment with potential for full-time hire; location at City of Norfolk, VA. Weekly pay and benefits available.
Required Qualifications
