Job Summary
Provide job readiness training, career counseling, and job placement assistance; coordinate transition services for youth with disabilities; travel throughout Volusia and Flagler Counties; build relationships with local employers and community organizations; organize job fairs and employment events; assist clients with job searches, applications, interview preparation, and onboarding; match clients to appropriate job opportunities and provide follow-up support to promote job retention; teach workplace communication, problem-solving, and professional behavior in classroom and community settings; support youth transitioning out of school through community-based instruction and work-based learning; maintain accurate case notes, reports, and documentation in a timely manner; collaborate with workforce agencies, schools, and community partners.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree and one year of experience with youth and/or adults with disabilities OR two years of experience in vocational services (in place of a degree)
- At least one year of experience working with adults with disabilities, justice-involved individuals, or long-term unemployed populations
- Knowledge of vocational rehabilitation, youth transition, and adult employment programs
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and travel throughout Volusia and Flagler Counties
- Ability to work with diverse populations and support individuals with employment barriers
- Commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and Easterseals values
- Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive your personal vehicle, as required, for program-related needs (minimum age of 21 and good driving history)
