Job Summary
Provide community-based Employment Path services that support individuals in developing skills needed for competitive employment. Facilitate activities focused on communication, workplace behavior, time management, and organization; assist with career exploration, resume development, cover letters, and interview preparation; deliver on-site job coaching to support independence and long-term employment outcomes; fade support as clients gain autonomy; coordinate with Job Developers and Career partners; maintain accurate documentation and align services with funding requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of professional caregiving experience OR at least 6 months of experience as a job coach, employment specialist, or in a related employment services role
- Demonstrated interest in and commitment to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in achieving meaningful employment and community inclusion
- Ability to work independently in community-based settings while maintaining strong collaboration with clients, team members, and supervisors
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations and tailor supports to individual needs
- Excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to interact appropriately with clients, employers, and team members
- Comfortable using technology for daily work tasks, including Mobile devices, Time tracking systems, Electronic documentation and progress notes
- Pass a criminal background check
- Reliable transportation, valid Driver's License and current auto insurance
- In-person, Portland area travel required
