Job Summary
The Employment Resource Specialist provides front-line support to career center customers seeking employment, unemployment insurance work registration/RESEA, career exploration, and access to workforce programs; delivers customer-centered service in the Resource Room and virtually, coordinating with staff and partners to connect customers with career pathways and referrals; conducts intake and basic assessments, assists with UI work registration, helps develop resumes, registers on online job databases (e.g., Pure Michigan Talent Connect), administers vocational assessments (e.g., CASAS), and delivers workshops; uses data-entry and reporting systems (OSMIS, Salesforce, AGS Prime, Pure Michigan Talent Connect) and coordinates with partner organizations to verify eligibility and services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in human services, social work, education, human resources, business, or related field
