Job Summary
Employment Relations Advisor role within APA's People, Safety & Culture team in Melbourne, Brisbane, or Sydney. Manage end-to-end employee relations cases including disciplinary, performance, grievance, and misconduct matters across a broad stakeholder group. Provide commercially sound ER advice to leaders and P&C Business Partners aligned to legislation, policy and enterprise agreements. Conduct thorough workplace investigations with procedural fairness, draft clear documentation (allegations, findings and outcomes), maintain accurate case records, contribute to ER reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. Support Fair Work conciliation as needed and escalate higher-risk issues. The role requires strong experience in employee relations or HR business partnering, solid knowledge of Australian employment law and enterprise agreement interpretation, capability to conduct investigations end-to-end, sound judgement balancing compliance with pragmatic business outcomes, and highly developed stakeholder management with the ability to coach and influence leaders.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in employee relations or HR business partnering roles with ownership of complex workplace matters
- Knowledge of Australian employment law, Fair Work framework and enterprise agreement interpretation
- Experience conducting investigations and managing cases independently
- Ability to coach, influence and challenge leaders
- Resilience and attention to detail in a lean team environment
