Job Summary
Establish and lead a new employment law practice area from the ground up, taking full ownership of matters from start to finish. Provide comprehensive advice to corporate and commercial clients while drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment contracts, policies, and workplace agreements. Manage workplace relations, enterprise bargaining, industrial disputes, and investigations, representing clients in tribunals, courts, and mediation proceedings. Build and manage your own client portfolio with complete autonomy, driving business development and cultivating strong client relationships. Requires admission as a legal practitioner in WA with minimum six years' employment law experience. Competitive salary plus performance-based bonus structure available.
Required Qualifications
- Admitted legal practitioner in WA
- Minimum 6 years' employment law experience with proven independence
- Strong grasp of Fair Work Act, WA Industrial Relations Act, and related legislation
- Track record managing complex employment matters end-to-end
- Experience with workplace investigations, tribunals, and dispute resolution
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Business development skills and commercial acumen
Desired Qualifications
- Enterprise bargaining and industrial relations experience
- WHS and discrimination law knowledge
- Mid-tier or boutique firm background
- Sector experience in energy & resources, construction, or technology
